Established in the academic session 1994-95 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Sant Kavi Baba Baijnath Government P.G. College was founded with a noble mission: to bring higher education to the rural and farthest areas of the Barabanki district. Located in Harakh, Barabanki, about 10 km from the district headquarters on the Barabanki-Haidergarh road, the college was initially established to serve the educational needs of the underserved rural population. In 2002, the college was renamed in honor of the local revered poet-saint Baba Baijnath, whose spiritual and literary legacy continues to inspire the institution.
