Established in 1993 as India's first private film school, the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has grown into a global media and arts institution, offering over 50 programs across film, television, fashion, design, and media studies, with a legacy of excellence spanning more than three decades.
Founded on 22 July 1993 by the visionary filmmaker Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) stands as India's first private film school and a pioneer in media and creative arts education. Located in the heart of Noida Film City, the academy shares its campus with Marwah Studios, the first film studio in Northern India, which has produced over 4,500 television programs, 120 feature films, and approximately 5,000 training films.
The academy offers more than 50 undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and short-term courses across broad areas of study. Over the years, AAFT has expanded its offerings to include the Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) in 2004—India's first cinema degree college—followed by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design in 2013.

Note: Admissions to UG and PG programs at AAFT are based on an aptitude test followed by a personal interview. Candidates must have passed 10+2 for UG programs and graduation for PG programs. The registration fee is ₹20,600 for degree programs and ₹15,600 for diploma programs. Students from over 100 countries are admitted.
